At the September 25 meeting of the Point Loma Democratic Club, members voted in support of submitting this letter to Central Committee leadership to express our strong position of “No confidence” and opposition to Will Rodriguez-Kennedy resuming duties as Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party.
Will Rodriguez-Kennedy has made a career out of chaos, corruption, and self-preservation—no matter the party. As a Log Cabin Republican, he was apparently caught stealing money, prompting co-chairs Vicky Kerley and Chad Michael Terry to give him an ultimatum: resign or face prosecution. He chose resignation. But instead of accepting blame, he went on a smear campaign so toxic that Vicky eventually left the state just to get away from him.
After torching his reputation on the right, Will switched teams and somehow clawed his way into leading the San Diego County Democratic Party. But nothing changed—except the targets of his aggression. Now he turns that same hostility on fellow Democrats, all while claiming he was “exonerated” after being accused of raping Oscar. In reality, he settled. A settlement isn’t an exoneration.
And this isn’t the first time questions have swirled around missing money. Even before COVID, Cindy Green raised alarms about Democratic Party donations from Tom Steyer that mysteriously vanished under Will’s watch. Different party, same shady behavior.
And let’s not pretend he didn’t know what was going on in the gay softball league. He knew. He always knows—and he always protects himself first. He just plays dumb when it suits him.
