September 22 – County Board of Supervisors District 1 Endorsement Meeting

At our meeting on Sunday, September 22, 2019, Point Loma & Ocean Beach Dems will consider endorsing a candidate for County Board of Supervisors District 1. This district includes the part of Point Loma/Sunset Cliffs that is approximately south of Point Loma Avenue and Canon Street including Shelter Island. Additionally, this is an important opportunity for us to provide support for another progressive voice on the County Board of Supervisors. You will hear from the candidates in person during a moderated forum. Please read up on the candidates and bring your questions.

Candidates for County Board of Supervisors District 1 are:

Only members in good standing will be allowed to vote for the endorsement. If you renewed your membership prior to March 31, 2019, you will be eligible to vote. If you renewed your membership after March 31, 2019 or became a new member, you are only eligible to vote if you have attended a PLDC meeting/event since you renewed/joined. If you renewed or joined at a meeting/event, that counts and you will be eligible to vote. If you are not sure of your status, feel free to ask by emailing [email protected].

FUTURE MEETINGS

At our October 28, 2019 meeting, we will consider endorsing a candidate for State Assembly District 78.

Our meetings are CHILD FRIENDLY- we will have toys, coloring books, snacks, etc. in a “kid space” at the rear of the meeting hall.
