Monthly Meeting — Sunday Feb 22 — San Diego’s Housing Crisis
We are fortunate to have two great, local speakers on this important topic - who are both well known to club members:
They will have presentations, discussion and time for Q&A:
Preservation and protection of residential housing units
Common regulatory vehicles successful in other cities
The scope of missing units from the current housing supply
Observations of coalitions motivated by the topic
Cynara Velazquez — Co-Founder of Housing for San Diegans
Cynara Velazquez is a political consultant and data analyst who has lived in San Diego for over 20 years. In 2005, when she first arrived in San Diego, she rented a room in La Jolla for $300 a month. She and her husband were fortunate to buy their Ocean Beach home before the short term rental boom caused housing prices to sky rocket in their community.
Cynara co-founded Housing for San Diegans so that her neighborhood and communities all over the city can continue to be accessible to her friends and peers.

Mandy’s March 1 Fundraiser
Sunday, March 1
Address provided with RSVP.
Mandy’s not afraid to speak truth to power and your donations amplify our voices to cut through the noise and get her message out to the public. Your money goes to doorhangers, signs, and other promotional materials necessary to let the public know that they have a fighter on their side ready to take on the establishment on their behalf. Give what you can – every amount helps get us closer to making it past the Primary and giving D2 the representation it deserves. Thank you in advance and we hope to see you on March 1st.
