Aug 28 - Kanter for Judge 2022 General Election Campaign Kick-Off

Many of us met Rebecca Kanter at our June Picnic in the Park. She is a progressive Democrat running for San Diego Superior Court Seat 35.

We'll be considering Rebecca for endorsement at our August Summer Holiday Party, but before then she invites everyone to her campaign kick-off this Thursday, August 18, at the Cafe Coyote in Old Town.

You can join Gil Cabrera, Deborah Dixon, Rachel Laing, Will Moore, Heather Riley & Johanna Schiavoni for tacos and margaritas to kick off her general election campaign and celebrate moving on to the November ballot!

WSWA Back-to-School Link

Thank you Point Loma & OB Democrats for supporting WSWA for our annual Back-to-School Distribution! The distribution will be on August 20, so we need all the donations by August 18!

Inflation has hurt the working poor the hardest. Many of our low-income members travel to north county to clean houses or maintain yards and gasoline costs take a big bite out of their pay, while rents have gone up by as much as 42% in one year in some areas of San Diego!

San Diego's Back-to-School distribution provides a material manifestation of hope to WSWA members who are actively organizing to end poverty at its root. Our biggest need at all times is for volunteers to pick up and deliver food, work to win affordable utilities and more. But we also need supporters to donate a mountain of school supplies! Please do all you can. Just click the link!

WSWA Back-to-School drive

Please send the supplies to:

WSWA, 3014 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92102

(619) 238-9763

You may also drop off supplies yourself day, 7 days a week at the above address from 9am-9pm!

We're happy to welcome Brandon McDonald, WSWA to the Summer Party to celebrate the success of the Back-to-school drive.
