Western Service Workers
Brandon MacDonald from the Western Service Workers Association (WSWA) will speak to the club about their annual Holiday Campaign.
While the number of COVID-19 cases are far lower and vaccinations are widely available, low-income families are saddled with mountains of rent and utility debt that will make a Happy Holidays all but impossible without some help.
As always, WSWA’s biggest need is for VOLUNTEERS!! They urgently need drivers, lifters and sorting volunteers for their Thanksgiving and Holiday Basket Distributions. They need volunteers all day; others can come for a half day. Call WSWA today to sign up: (619) 238-9763!
Thanksgiving Distribution: Tuesday Nov 23, 9am-4pm
Holiday Distribution: Wednesday Dec 22, 9am-4pm
WSWA is also organizing their annual Toy Distribution to Parents for Their Children! WSWA urgently needs donations of 1,000 toys for this year’s distribution. Toys can be dropped off at WSWA’s office 7 days a week between 9am-9pm.
WSWA volunteers have also created a Target Registry to make donating easy and safe! You can order online and have Target send toys directly to the WSWA office. If you’re ordering online please remember the supply-chain issues and order ASAP!
WSWA prefers personal drop-offs at our office so they can show you what else they’re doing! (Easy parking in rear, just call when you arrive.)
WSWA Office: 3014 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92102
Target Toy Registry: WSWA Toy Drive
WSWA needs VOLUNTEERS every day of the year in their work to end poverty! A little time driving, doing office work or medical advocacy makes a huge difference. No experience necessary.
Call WSWA today! (619) 238-9763
