Point Loma & OB Dems - Nov 21 Meeting - Pushing for Urban Reforms

Pushing for Urban Reforms
in a post-pandemic world can we remake the US to be more like the US before the automobile? With a new-world of digital commuting, can we increase density without parking requirements, protect buildings, and return wealth to formerly disadvantaged communities?
Join us on November 21 for a panel discussion of recently passed legislation that looks to shape who will re-make post-pandemic California.
During the pandemic several areas of San Diego took baby-steps to take back space from cars, with pedestrianized areas, outside restaurant seating that displaced parking, and cycle lanes.
Many people working from home began to question what they were missing in their immediate neighborhood - schools, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, entertainment.
Will local communities alter their local zoning to allow corner stores to open in residential neighborhoods? Or will state dictates ostensibly aimed at housing affordability, enable developers to reimagine our communities?
Bring your thoughts and questions.
