Point Loma/ OB Democratic Club Passes Resolution in Support of Medicare for All

Representative Scott Peters is the only Democrat in San Diego County's Congressional Delegation who opposes Medicare for All. Join us in calling on Rep. Peters to take the Patients Over Profits pledge. Follow the link to contact Rep. Peters about rejecting donations from healthcare executives and cosponsoring H.R. 1976, the Medicare for All Act of 2021, a bill that would address the scale of the crisis in our healthcare system.

Today Judy Ki presented a feminist view of anti-asian hate. Ki is the founder and Member At Large for the AAPI Democratic Club of San Diego that chooses a Book of the Month to to uplift AAPI voices in literature, both at the Adult and Children’s literature levels. Check out the most recent selections “Minor Feelings, An Asian American Reckoning” by Cathy Park Hong and “One Afternoon” by Yumi Heo.

The club endorsed a resolution to support abolishing corporate personhood through a Constitutional Amendment that ends the doctrine of Money as Speech. Get involved! Join with Cynara Velazquez's San Diegans Against Citizens United group.
This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment authorizing Congress and the states to set reasonable limits on the raising and spending of money by candidates and others to influence elections.
