Hello ,
This is an “all hands on deck”moment for our Party. I’ll explain why down below:
Here are the top priority actions we need everyone to take in order to ensure that we get out the vote for Yes on Prop 50:
Sign up to volunteer to collect ballots and sign up volunteers at the No King’s March with this link (all volunteers get a tshirt):https://sddems.link/NOKINGSvolunteer
Promote the No Kings March as a ballot collection/turn in event by sharing this link here: https://sddems.link/Nokings
Sign up for and share the SDDEMS MEGAWALK with this link: https://sddems.link/megawalk
Contribute to the San Diego County Democratic Party with this link here (also share it): https://sddem.org/
To explain why these actions are ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE, allow me to show you the numbers:
Analysis:
Polling - Survey USA shows a moderate change in both voter support and opposition for Prop. 50. Yes on 50 now has a slim majority. That means we cannot let off the gas. We need to turn it up!
San Diego vs State returns: The San Diego County Democratic Party is beating its voter share and now represents almost 1/5th of the overall vote in spite of being just over 1/13th the Democratic electorate. That means our Party is doing much more with much less and we have to keep on going because our entire state is depending on us. State returns indicate that Democrats represent just shy of a majority in the overall ballot returns at the moment. San Diego is over represented in Democrats and Republicans in the overall vote share and depending on who is voting for what we are in the purple/light blue range. We can move the needle for the whole state.
Conclusion:
It is not an understatement to say that the entire state and the entire country are counting on the San Diego County Democratic Party to pull in our Democratic voters. Many of you have stepped up beyond any expectation as volunteers or on our intrepid GO Team. Many have not yet joined our field effort. We need the leaders of the Democratic Party to join the fight whether it is calling, knocking on doors, or contributing whatever you can financially to this effort. To those of you who I have had the honor of seeing in the field and the many more I have not been able to say this to: THANK YOU.
For those of you who haven’t yet been able to join the fight, no worries, we have time. Take one of the four actions above!
Thank you all for your support, for your service, and for your leadership of our Democratic Party.
Ashe and Pa’lante!
In Solidarity,
Will Rodriguez-Kennedy
