Tell Democratic San Diego City Councilmembers to display our values in the budget — fund parks and libraries defund surveillance. Join No King protests on June 14th. Attend our monthly meeting on Sunday, June 22 at 4:00PM to learn about Ai.
Say No to Automatic License Plate Readers for SDPD/ICE
The San Diego City Council is considering to spend millions of dollars to increase surveillance of citizens with the use of automatic license plater readers. This information will be shared by SDPD with ICE and other agencies of the Trump administration. These systems log time and location data and are used to build detailed pictures of your every movement. A recent EFF article detailed how a Texas sheriff was able to search records from 83,000 cameras to track down a woman suspected of self-managing an abortion.
We do not want our tax dollars going to increased surveillance, we prefer to invest that money in parks, libraries and our youth.
The Pt Loma & OB Dems E-board encourage you to sign this petition, and to share it with your friends and neighbors.

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their allies.
🚨On Saturday, June 14, we’re gathering and building a movement to support and strengthen our communities🚨
The flag belongs to us. We’re not watching history happen. We’re making it.
On June 14th, we’re showing up everywhere—to say no thrones, no crowns, no kings.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
